Mej Suid-Afrika 1963: Louise Crous

Hi Ane, what a surprise! Thank you so much for your comment.
Your ouma was crowned Miss South Africa in the year I was born, 1963. That was also the year that Pres. John F Kennedy of USA was assassinated. I totally agree with you, Louise Crous was a beautiful woman. She was so sophisticated, even sitting under the hair dryer!! Unfortunatley those were the only two photo’s I could find of her….

    Good day
I am doing the Miss South Africa archives, dating from 1952 and would like people to contact me that can contribute some photos of former Miss SA like Louise Crous. I will really appreciate. They can email me at louis@nrf.ac.za
    Regards Louis

I went to school in Bloemfontein with Louise’s daughter, Tanya. She was just as lovely as her mother. (She also had a younger sister named Heidi). It’s a pity we lost touch after school as we were quite good friends. If Ane Robert should read this, please contact me – it would be appreciated.

Sorry, I forgot to add that I also found a lot of photos of Louise Crous on the internet, if Louis Fourie is interested?
